It is one of the best covers and I applaud it. (which is a version above) has a really awesome minimalist design that brings out Batman’s awesome look. All-Star Batman #1’s cover done by John Romita, Jr. They did an excellent job with that look and I think it shows how to modernize the villain.įinally, I would be remiss if I did not mention the cover of the first issue. I also want to mention how the KGBeast was designed. It captures the cool nature and the epic costumes that Bruce Wayne and Duke Thomas wear to fight the bad guys.


He’s an excellent character and he truly shines in this tale.Īs for the artwork, the whole team does a fantastic job. I also liked how he introduced The Signal into the stories. He clearly understands Batman and his rogues, highlighting what we love and hate about the characters. While its time was short, Scott Snyder truly shines with this saga and it brings out his talent as a writer. This is probably one of the best of the DC Rebirth titles for Batman. The Penguin, Black Mask, KGBeast, and so many others are trying to stop Batman. As they travel from Gotham City, the villain recruits some of his fellow rogues to help him escape from the Dark Knight. The first volume of the 2017 graphic novel combines issues 1-5 to make All-Star Batman: My Own Worst Enemy.īatman and his new partner The Signal are on a cross-country adventure to try and help his old friend Harvey Dent aka Two-Face. For the DC Rebirth, writer Scott Snyder along with artists Danny Miki, John Romita, Jr., and Declan Shalvey to bring us All-Star Batman from DC Comics.
